ChargePoint is collaborating with Ford Pro in Germany and the UK to provide home, depot, and workplace charging options for Ford’s commercial fleet customers. The services are designed to help fleets manage charging infrastructure and reduce the total cost of ownership.
Integrated Charging Support for Commercial Fleets
Under the collaboration, Ford Pro customers with advanced electrification requirements can work with ChargePoint’s team on site planning, charger installation, and related services. The companies said the goal is to simplify deployment, improve scalability, and streamline ongoing charging operations.
“Electric fleets perform best when charging is reliable and integrated into daily operations,” said Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint, in a Feb. 26 news release. “Together with Ford Pro, we’re supporting multiple charging scenarios to help fleet managers manage costs and operations.”
Hans Schep, general manager of Ford Pro Europe, said the collaboration expands the company’s charging support for commercial customers. “We want to help businesses maximize uptime and productivity,” he said. “Working with ChargePoint connects customers with established charging solutions.”
Charging Software and Energy Management Tools
ChargePoint’s offering for fleets includes automated reimbursement for home-charged vehicles and power management tools for depot charging. The company also provides fleet charging software designed to support operational oversight, energy tracking, and reporting.
The collaboration will support Ford Pro’s electric commercial customers across Germany and the UK with coordinated charging infrastructure and management services.
