Vauxhall, the UK brand of Stellantis firm Opel, is to debut two new electric vans at the forthcoming Commercial Vehicle Show, to be held in Birmingham, UK.
Taking place August 31 to September 2, 2021, the Commercial Vehicle Showwill play host to the global public unveiling of both the Movano-e large panel van and the compact Combo-e panel van.
It will allow Vauxhall the opportunity to display to both fleet and transport managers its full suite of electric vans, with the already-selling Vivaro-e joining the two electric newcomers.
The Movano-e offers fleets a cargo volume of up to 17m3, while its zero-emission powertrain provides a 139 mile range. The smaller Combo-e, the electric variant of the 2019 International Van of the Year, has a load space of 4.4m3 with a 50kWh battery providing a 171 mile range.
Another first will be a Vivaro-e Platform Cab Concept. This has been developed with feedback from Vauxhall Fleet customers and produced by body builder Paneltex. The concept targets supermarkets and retailers who are looking at short-cycle urban home delivery with a maximum two-hour return-to-base delivery cycle.

Adding further depth to the CV Show display will be the new Vivaro-e Hydrogen. The hydrogen fuel cell van will be available in European markets from end 2021, and is slated for the UK in early 2023. Vauxhall says it is already actively engaged with UK corporate fleets ahead of its introduction. The hydrogen Vivaro will have a 249 mile range and refuelling will take as little as three minutes. Cargo volume is uncompromised at up to 6.1m3.
Vauxhall is making a significant impact in the electric fleet van sector with its Vivaro-e model. Among its many fleet wins, it recently concluded a deal to supply OVO Energy with 1000 Vivaro-e models. The vehicles are being funded through leasing firm Zenith.
