Subaru Unveils New Electric SUV, a Three-Row 2027 Subaru Getaway

Subaru debuts the all-electric 2027 Getaway, expanding its EV lineup with a three-row SUV designed for range, capability, and everyday versatility.

Subaru of America unveiled the all-electric 2027 Subaru Getaway at the 2026 New York International Auto Show. The SUV is the fourth electric vehicle in Subaru’s lineup and will be available in late 2026.
The three-row SUV offers seating for up to seven, standard all-wheel drive, and a dual-motor powertrain producing 420 horsepower.
Powertrain, Range, and Capability
The 2027 Getaway is equipped with front and rear electric motors delivering 420 horsepower, with a 0-60 mph time of less than 5 seconds.
A 95.8-kWh lithium-ion battery provides an estimated range of more than 300 miles. The vehicle features a standard NACS charging port, supporting access to more than 25,000 public fast chargers in North America. DC fast charging up to 150 kW enables a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. A battery preconditioning system supports charging performance in cold conditions.
A standard-range model with a 77.0-kWh battery will be available in 2027.
The Getaway includes:
Standard all-wheel drive
8.3 inches of ground clearance
X-Mode dual-mode system (Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud)
Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control
Towing capacity up to 3,500 pounds
Interior and Cargo
The Getaway offers seating for up to seven with a second-row bench, or six with available captain’s chairs. One-touch second-row folding seats and a power-folding third row provide flexible cargo configurations.

45.6 cubic feet with third row folded
15.9 cubic feet with third row in use
Interior features include:
Three-zone climate control with third-row vents
USB-C ports in every row
Cupholders for all seating positions
Available panoramic moonroof
Ambient interior lighting
Design and Technology
The Getaway features Subaru’s updated EV design, including a front lighting signature with an illuminated logo and dynamic daytime running lights. Standard 19- and 20-inch wheels and roof rails are available depending on trim.
The interior includes a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with available wireless smartphone charging.

Lane Departure Alert
Adaptive Cruise Control
Emergency Stop Assist
Traffic Jam Assist
Additional features on select trims include Front Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Park Assist, and a digital rearview mirror.
Pricing and additional specifications will be released closer to launch.
