MSI, a company known for its high-performance computing hardware, has entered the electric vehicle (EV) charging market with the introduction of its EV Life and EV Life Plus chargers.

Designed for Flexibility and Durability

The new chargers are built for both residential and commercial use, offering options for hardwired installation or plug-and-play setup through a NEMA 14-50 outlet. With up to 14.4 kW (60A) of power output, both models support Type 1 (SAE J1772) and Tesla’s NACS connectors.

Engineered for reliability in extreme conditions, the chargers can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 131°F. They meet IP55/IP67 water and dust resistance standards and include IK08 impact protection for use in rugged environments.

Smart Charging Features

The EV Life model includes app-based control through MSI’s aConnect platform, allowing users to schedule charging sessions, adjust current levels, and review usage history remotely.

The EV Life Plus adds advanced connectivity and management features such as RFID authentication, Wi-Fi and Ethernet support, and OCPP 1.6J protocol compatibility, making it suitable for light commercial or fleet applications that require data tracking and user access management.
