"I know firsthand the challenges fleet managers contend with as they electrify their fleets,” Mitchell said in a news release. “I look forward to helping our clients tackle the evolving complexities of charging and infrastructure, with customized solutions to ensure every client has a successful EV deployment.”

With more than a decade of experience in the charging and infrastructure industry, Mitchell will focus on sustainable transportation in his new role. Coupled with Merchants’ extensive portfolio of electrification products and services, Mitchell’s expertise will enable the company to build upon its core EV solutions and $2.5 billion commitment toward fleet electrification.

“Patrick is joining the Merchants team at a pivotal time, where his vast industry knowledge is essential to helping our clients navigate the evolving EV landscape,” Nayar said.

Before joining Merchants, Mitchell was senior fleet manager at Enel North America, where he led the company’s fleet transition to hybrids and EVs and oversaw the installation of its smart charging infrastructure at business locations throughout North America. This transition resulted in Enel’s 60-ton decrease in carbon emissions.
