Amerit Fleet Solutions, a provider of customized fleet maintenance and repair programs nationwide, announced June 21 it has signed an agreement with Hyzon, a high-power hydrogen fuel cell technology developer and global supplier of zero-emission heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicles, to provide maintenance and repair services to commercial fleets.
The deal allows Amerit to perform warranty repairs, preventative maintenance, and support services for fuel cell electric vehicles upfitted with Hyzon’s proprietary hydrogen fuel cell powertrain, beginning in pilot locations where Hyzon is first deploying its technology.
“Amerit recognizes that hydrogen fuel cell technology plays an important role in the zero-emissions landscape, and we are supporting Hyzon and its customers,” said CEO of Amerit Dan Williams in a news release. “At Amerit we share Hyzon’s vision for a zero-emission future and stand ready to support their customers as they adopt hydrogen fuel cell technology into their fleets.”
“As a first mover in heavy-duty hydrogen-powered transport, the collaboration with Amerit is a key component to enable Hyzon’s deployment of vehicles upfitted with zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell powertrain solutions,” said Pat Griffin, Hyzon Motors’ President of North America.
