More than 1,000 customers have registered their interest in purchasing over 20,000 Ford E-Transit vans since the registration site went live May 4. Order banks for the all-new, all-electric cargo van are now officially open.
E-Transit, the first all-electric cargo van from a full-line automaker in North America, is an electrified version of Ford Transit, which the company says is the best-selling commercial van in the U.S. Built alongside Transit at Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant, it’s designed to serve a wide range of commercial applications beyond last-mile delivery with a choice of eight configurations, including a cargo van with three roof heights and three lengths, plus chassis cab and cutaway models.
E-Transit is part of Ford’s more than $30 billion investment in electrification through 2025. The van will be a centerpiece vehicle in the new Ford Pro global vehicle services and distribution business Ford recently launched to increase uptime and reduce ownership costs for commercial customers, helping deliver higher productivity and performance.
Base starting MSRP ranges from $43,295 for the cutaway to $52,690 for the high-roof extended-wheelbase cargo van. Prices exclude destination/delivery fees, fees and taxes, and "dealer processing charges." E-Transit has a targeted maximum payload of 3,800 pounds with up to 487.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the cargo version. Cutaway versions will feature a maximum payload up to 4,290 pounds.
To order the E-Transit, contact your local Ford dealer or fleet account manager.
