The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica has been re-engineered on a new platform that will deliver better handling, as well as reduced noise, vibration, and harshness, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced. 

The minivan’s new body structure is light and stiff, which should make it more responsive and also lower levels of body rolls, according to FCA.

The 2020 Pacifica will feature two powertrain options: a hybrid and gasoline model. The hybrid model will see roughly 80 MPGe in the city and feature an FCA US-designed dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission paired with modified version of the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 gasoline engine. The gasoline model will feature the Pentastar V-6 gasoline engine mated to TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission that produces 287 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. 

The hybrid Pacifica has an all-electric range of 30 miles and a total range of 500 miles. 

Safety technology such as a 360-degree surround view camera, ParkSense parallel and perpendicular park assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go forward collision will be available. 

A honeycomb grille pattern will come standard on Pacifica hybrid models. 

The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica will be available in four trims, including Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid will be available in three trims, including Touring, Touring L, and Limited.

Pacifica Touring L and Touring L Plus models will include standard driver seat memory. 

The Pacifica Touring hybrid will feature a standard universal garage door opener and second-row sunshades. 

For the exterior a new ceramic grey color option is coming to 2020. For the interior, a new rodeo red napa leather option is coming to the new Pacifica.
