Slate Auto has closed a $650 million Series C funding round, led by TWG Global, to provide operating capital for the next stage of development.
Slate has received more than 160,000 reservations and plans to begin delivering vehicles in late 2026.
The funding will support progress toward production, including development of its vehicle and operations at its Warsaw factory.
“Our Series C round of funding will enable Slate to reach the next stages of production this year,” said CEO Peter Faricy in an April 13 news release.
Slate said it aims to produce a customizable vehicle at a lower cost compared to the average new vehicle. Preorders for Slate Trucks are expected to begin in June, according to the company.
