Nissan has partnered with Electrum to introduce the Nissan Energy Marketplace, a platform designed to help customers research, purchase, and install home energy options, including electric vehicle chargers, solar panels, and battery storage.
Through the marketplace, users gain access to Electrum’s energy ddvisors, who connect them with bids from a nationwide network of vetted contractors. The advisors also assist customers in identifying available state, local, and federal incentives, while helping design tailored home energy solutions that meet both needs and budgets.
Nissan and Electrum on the Initiative
Jonathan Miller, director of EV transformation at Nissan U.S., said in a news release that the program is intended to make EV ownership more practical by providing customers with the resources and support to integrate charging and energy management into their households.
Electrum CEO Max Aram noted that the partnership aims to lower barriers to home electrification, giving Nissan customers easier access to reliable charging and renewable energy options.
Expanding Nissan Energy Programs
The program coincides with the upcoming U.S. launch of the 2026 Nissan LEAF and expands Nissan’s broader Energy program. It follows the debut of the Nissan Energy Charge Network, which provides drivers with access to an expansive public charging network.
Relevance for Fleets
For fleets, the marketplace could help reduce costs and support sustainability goals by enabling drivers to charge EVs at home. With vehicle-to-home (V2H) capability expected to grow, fleets could also benefit from bidirectional charging, allowing EVs to supply power back to homes during peak hours or outages.
The marketplace is expected to support broader EV adoption while helping reduce reliance on fossil fuels by simplifying the installation and financing of home charging and renewable energy systems.
