GM faces a setback as software quality issues force them to delay sales of their all-electric SUV model.
Blazer EV owners will be asked to bring their cars into a dealership for the update.

General Motors has temporarily stopped sales of their new EV SUV, the 2024 Chevy Blazer after some customers reported software problems, according to a recent report from CNN.com.
It is unknown how many vehicles may be affected by this problem, or what exact problems this has caused for the new SUV.
“We’re aware that a limited number of customers have experienced software-related quality issues with their Blazer EV,” said Scott Bell, Chevrolet vice president. “Customer satisfaction is our priority and as such, we will take a brief pause on new deliveries.”
The Blazer EV launched a few weeks ago as a mass-market SUV after being listed by MotorTrend as their SUV of the Year due to engineering, price, safety, etc.
Earlier in 2023, General Motors, LLC (GM) recalled an estimated 111,242 2017-2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV vehicles for a fire risk.
Since then, other EV models have taken a hit due to software issues.
Tesla announced last month that they would be recalling more than two million vehicles due to problems with the Autosteer function.
The recall includes 2012-2023 Model S, 2016-2023 Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, and 2020-2023 Model Y vehicles.
