Volkswagen unveiled its new battery-electric model, ID3 at this month’s Frankfurt auto show, and with that has also teased its next all-electric vehicle, the ID4, which will be the first ID EV to hit the U.S. market.

According to Roadshow by CNET, the new electric ID model was hidden on stage after the initial debut of the ID3 which will only be available in Europe. ID, an acronym for intelligent design, features a product family of battery-electric vehicles that will be released worldwide.

Roadshow reported that the vehicle looks to be a production version of the ID Crozz concept vehicle and will be available in the U.S. The ID4 is slated to have many of the same features of the ID3 such as the interactive head-up display and navigational direction arrows on the windshield.

Based on the partially hidden and wrapped vehicle at the auto show, the ID4 appears to be a crossover featuring a hatchback design. This vehicle doesn’t have an official launch date nor price; however, it is expected to hit the U.S. market in late 2020.
