Rivian Prices New R2 Model Lineup
Rivian detailed pricing, trims, and key features for its upcoming R2 electric SUV, with deliveries set to begin in 2026.

Rivian Automotive Inc. recently disclosed trim levels and pricing for the R2, a midsize electric SUV, with deliveries scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
The R2 Performance trim with launch package will be the first available, starting at $57,990, followed by Premium configurations in late 2026 and Standard configurations in 2027.
Built on a new midsize platform, the R2 offers up to 656 horsepower, 0-60 mph acceleration as quick as 3.6 seconds, and an estimated range of up to 345 miles. The lineup includes a native NACS charge port, access to the Tesla Supercharger network, and CCS adapter compatibility.

Rivian will offer multiple configurations across the R2 lineup:
R2 Performance (Spring 2026): Starting at $57,990, dual-motor AWD with 656 horsepower and 609 lb.-ft. of torque, with up to 330 miles of estimated range
Semi-active suspension
Heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, heated steering wheel
12-way power driver and passenger seats with lumbar adjustment
Premium audio system (9 speakers, dual subwoofers, 975W)
Rear drop glass and integrated tow hooks
Adaptive high beams and Matrix LED headlights
Multiple drive modes, including All-Terrain, Rally, Soft Sand, Sport, and Launch Mode
21-inch all-season wheels

R2 Premium (Late 2026): Starting at $53,990, dual-motor AWD with 450 horsepower and 537 lb.-ft. of torque, with up to 330 miles of estimated range

Premium audio system (975W)
Rear drop glass and integrated tow hooks
Adaptive lighting and multiple drive modes, including all-terrain and sport

R2 Standard (2027): Starting at $48,490, single-motor RWD Long Range with 350 horsepower and 355 lb.-ft. of torque, and up to 345 miles of estimated range

Standard audio system (5 speakers, 525W)
Drive modes including all-purpose, conserve, snow, and sport
19-inch all-season wheels

An additional Standard variant is expected in late 2027, starting at around $45,000 with an estimated range of more than 275 miles.
Capability, Technology, and Interior Features
The R2 offers up to 90.1 cubic feet of total enclosed storage, including a 5.2-cubic-foot front trunk, dual glove boxes, and fold-flat rear seating. A rear drop glass window allows for additional cargo flexibility.
The vehicle features 9.6 inches of ground clearance, a 25-degree approach angle, and a 26-degree departure angle. A semi-active suspension system is available on the Performance trim.
R2 is built on a software-defined architecture with a sensor suite comprising 11 cameras and five radars. Rivian’s Autonomy+ system is available via subscription or one-time purchase, with a 60-day trial included. The system enables hands-free assisted driving on select roads.
Additional technology includes:
Dual digital displays for driver information and vehicle controls
Haptic steering wheel controls
Over-the-air software updates
In-vehicle voice assistant supported by onboard AI computing
Launch Timeline and Availability
R2 deliveries will begin in spring 2026 with the Performance trim and launch package. Premium models will follow later in 2026, with Standard models arriving in 2027.
Reservations are open with a $100 refundable deposit. The R2 will be displayed at SXSW 2026 from March 13-18 in Austin, Texas.
