NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) recently announced the addition of a new Indoor EV (electric vehicle) Test Track, alongside the return of the popular Ride & Drive Experience powered by Automotive Fleet, at its 2025 Institute & Expo (I&E).
On April 28-30, 2025, in Long Beach, California, these experiences will provide attendees with two ways to engage with the latest fleet vehicles, offering hands-on opportunities to explore electric and alternative fuel models.
“We’re excited to offer these experiences to our attendees, providing them with different ways to interact with the latest in fleet technology,” Bill Schankel, CAE, CEO of NAFA, said.
“These events give fleet professionals the chance to experience cutting-edge vehicles up close, from indoor EV ride-alongs in the expo hall to the dynamic outdoor test drives that showcase vehicle performance in real-world conditions,” Schankel said.

The Indoor EV Test Track, a brand-new feature at I&E 2025, will allow attendees to experience the latest electric vehicle models directly in the expo hall.
This indoor track will run during expo hall hours on April 29 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and on April 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and attendees will be able to ride along in the newest EVs on the market. The Indoor EV Test Track offers a unique way to explore the performance and capabilities of these vehicles without leaving the expo hall.
The Ride & Drive Experience returns for I&E 2025, allowing attendees to get behind the wheel of electric and alternative fuel vehicles in a real-world setting.
Scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., this event allows fleet professionals to interact with the latest models and technologies, gaining hands-on experience with the vehicles shaping the future of fleet operations.
The Ride & Drive Experience offers a chance to engage with vehicles on an outdoor course, offering a deeper understanding of their capabilities and performance.
