Ford Pro — a separate global vehicle services business within Ford serving commercial and government customers — announces Ford Pro Intelligence. Through a single interface, the cloud-based suite of fleet management services includes telematics, tools to manage drivers, and an integration with Salesforce to improve relationships with customers.

The platform updates with real-time data and “continuously gets smarter,” according to Ford. Ford Pro Intelligence also combines consultation on topics such as charging solutions for electric vehicles, including depot site design.

“The biggest pain point we hear from commercial customers when it comes to managing their fleets is not having a single place to access all of their information across vehicles and services,” says Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO, in a statement. “We’ve created a platform that centralizes and powers our entire digital ecosystem, working across gas and electric powertrains, Ford and non-Ford vehicles.”

Ford Pro Intelligence is designed to work for any size operation with Ford and non-Ford vehicles, Ford said.

Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, said the system generates more uptime, more productivity, and smart charging with less hassle. “Ford Pro is leading Ford’s transformation to an ‘always on’ relationship with our customers and it is one of our biggest bets to lead the connected, electric mobility future,” he said.

As part of the collaboration with Salesforce, Ford Pro also announced a new subscription software service, VIIZR.

VIIZR is a Software as a Service tool that brings together Ford Pro and Salesforce Field Service to help tradespeople schedule field appointments, send invoices and manage customer relationships from one integrated, cloud-based platform.

“Small business owners are the foundation of our communities, and every day across America plumbers, electricians and landscapers step into their Ford vehicles to build our economy,” said Marc Benioff, chair and co-CEO of Salesforce. “We're thrilled that our incredible new partnership with Ford will help energize millions of entrepreneurs in the trades with the power of Salesforce so they can deliver for their customers and take their businesses to the next level.”
