The Automotive Remarketing Alliance will host Recurrent CEO Scott Case as their keynote speaker on March 19 during the Conference of Automotive Remarketing in San Diego.
Case has emerged as a leading authority on electric vehicles in the vehicle remarketing industry with his research and evaluations related to EV batteries and technology. Recurrent is a leading EV battery analytical firm based in Seattle.
Case will speak on Wednesday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the San Diego Sheraton Marina Resort on the topic, “Prepping Your Remarketing Strategy for the Surge of Off-Lease EVs.” He led an ARA webinar on Dec. 11, 2024, about “Post-Biden EV Policies and EV Market Impact.”
“The Trump Administration EV policies are beginning to roll out but the exact timing and details will be a legislative and judicial fight for years,” Case said. “No matter what ultimately comes out, however, the used EV market will grow five times over the next four years.”
Case predicts new EV sales growth since 2019 and sky-high EV lease rates from 2023 will create a tidal wave of EVs coming to every automotive remarketing channel.
“The companies and individuals that are figuring out their EV-specific remarketing strategies now are going to be well positioned to perform well and grow market share in the coming years,” he said.
Among the highlights of his ARA keynote:
Walk through of the four interlocking (but distinct) policies supporting EV adoption that were in place at the start of the Trump administration.
Analysis of the likelihood and timing of potential changes to each policy.
Market impact (on new EV leases and sales and used EV sales) on each potential change. Key EV remarketing strategies to implement now before the off-lease surge next year.
CAR 2025 takes place March 18-20. REGISTRATION and AGENDA.
