Chinese EV Manufacturer Enters U.S. Market
The China-based all-electric vehicle manufacturer Byton is now licensed to sell its EV SUV in California, it’s first entry into the U.S. market, and slated to make its official launch in 2021.
The EV automaker has also collaborated with Electrify America, which will grant Byton owners in the U.S. with complimentary unlimited 30-minute charging.

The China-based electric vehicle manufacturer Byton is now licensed to sell its all-electric SUV in California, it’s first entry into the U.S. market, and is slated to make its official launch in 2021.
Byton’s M-Byte SUV will come with two battery options, 72-kWh and 95-kWh packs, that should be good for at least 250 miles on the EPA scale once the car is ready to be evaluated, according to Forbes.
The EV automaker has also collaborated with Electrify America, which will grant Byton owners in the U.S. with complimentary unlimited 30-minute charging sessions on Electrify America's network of DC Fast public charging stations for two years, according to a release.
In addition to Electrify America’s growing network of public charging stations, the company’s unique network interoperability agreements with several other major networks will bring BYTON drivers access to more than 36,000 DC Fast and Level 2 chargers, all from a single Electrify America account.
The company is aiming for U.S. and Europe market launch by 2021, according to a release from the company.
