Lucid Group has tapped Academy Award–nominated actor Timothée Chalamet as its first-ever global brand ambassador, marking a milestone in its push to connect its electric vehicles with a broader cultural audience.
Chalamet, who has been spotted behind the wheel of a Lucid Air since 2023, will be the face of the company’s upcoming campaign for the Lucid Gravity, a three-row SUV designed to combine the space of a family vehicle with the performance of a luxury sports car.
“We’re excited to welcome Timothée as our first Global Brand Ambassador,” said Akerho “AK” Oghoghomeh, senior vice president of marketing at Lucid Motors, in a news release. “He brings together the same fearless creativity and uncompromising vision that defines our brand, embodying what it means to compromise nothing on and off screen. Together, we’ll show what’s possible when innovation and cultural relevance come together to move the world forward.”
Since its debut in 2016, Lucid has earned a reputation as one of the most critically acclaimed EV startups, first with the award-winning Lucid Air sedan and now with the upcoming Gravity SUV. The partnership with Chalamet builds on the company’s strategy to increase visibility as EV adoption grows and consumer expectations for design and performance continue to rise.
Chalamet, fresh off a Screen Actors Guild Award for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, is also slated to star in Marty Supreme later this year and Dune: Part Three in 2026. He also starred in the 2017 drama, Call Me By Your Name.
Lucid’s campaign featuring Chalamet is scheduled to launch early this fall, with additional details expected in the coming months.
