Hyundai showed the 2027 IONIQ 9 AWD Performance Calligraphy Black Ink model during a recent media event near Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Savannah, Georgia.

The new trim builds on the three-row IONIQ 9 electric SUV with updated exterior and interior design elements and a high-output dual-motor powertrain. The model is assembled in Bryan County, Georgia, and is expected to arrive at dealerships this summer.

Calligraphy Black Ink Design

The Calligraphy Black Ink trim introduces a blacked-out exterior theme, available in Abyss Black Pearl, with several distinct design elements.

Exterior Features

• Black chrome front skid plate and rear garnish
• Gloss black roof rails
• Black window moldings, inner door handles, and front Hyundai emblem
• 21-inch black turbine-design alloy wheels (exclusive to Black Ink)

Interior Features

• Black interior color scheme with matching upholstery
• Black aluminum trim and steering wheel
• Eco-suede headliner made from corn-derived fibers
• Aluminum trim with patterned detailing

Interior Comfort and Layout

The IONIQ 9 Calligraphy Black Ink features a standard six-passenger layout with first- and second-row relaxation seats that include power recline and ventilation. Heated third-row seats are also standard.

The model uses Hyundai’s dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with:

• 516 lb.-ft. of torque

It is equipped with a 110.3-kWh battery and 800-volt architecture.

• 10% to 80% charge in approximately 24 minutes under optimal conditions
