Beam Global recently announced orders from the County of Ventura, California, and the City of Walla Walla, Washington, for EV ARC solar-powered EV charging systems.

The County of Ventura placed an order for 10 solar-powered EV charging stations for fleet and public use. The county’s fleet units are expected to be deployed at remote motor pool locations, while public charging is expected to take place at a local nonprofit organization that serves disadvantaged communities.

The charging systems are funded by the California Energy Commission and are part of the County of Ventura’s Climate Action Plan, which seeks to electrify the county's fleet and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Meanwhile, in Washington state, the City of Walla Walla placed an order for its first EV ARC solar-powered EV charging system. The system, equipped with a ChargePoint Dual Port charger and an emergency power panel, will support two of the city’s electric vehicles as part of its electrification and emergency preparedness programs.

“The systems have the added capability to power a variety of essential functions in the event of an emergency and power grid disruptions,” said Matt Edwards, fleet operations manager for the City of Walla Walla. “We needed a solution located at the City Service Center to support both of these important programs, and with the ability to relocate the EV ARC when needed, this was the perfect option for the city’s overall readiness.”
