The order of 14 new Vicinity Lightning™ EV buses are for delivery in 2022 to Calgary Transit, with the option to purchase supplemental vehicles at a set price over a five-year period.
The order includes three of the company’s 30-foot buses and one 35-foot Vicinity bus. The buses are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2022.
Exro will supply its innovative Coil Drive System technology suite, which Vicinity Motor Corp. will validate through an initial deployment of an optimized electric powertrain.
The contract gives the state‘s transit agencies the right to purchase from the company’s bus portfolio, including the Vicinity Lightning EV.
The order is scheduled to be delivered to ABC Companies in the third and fourth quarters of 2021 for resale into the U.S.
