The organization is providing a united voice for the industry to promote the use of cleaner fuels and vehicle technologies, while building support for fueling and charging infrastructure across Ohio to accelerate these efforts.

Lordstown Motors Corp., a new Ohio-based original equipment manufacturer of light-duty fleet vehicles, has received a letter of intent from Clean Fuels Ohio to help deploy 500 Lordstown Endurance electric pickup trucks across the state. The group will partner with Lordstown Motors to fulfill this pledge by helping to educate fleets across Ohio and encouraging acquisitions.

Clean Fuels Ohio is a non-profit organization that is working to make Ohio a cleaner state by promoting the use of advanced fuel technologies. The organization is providing a united voice for the industry to promote the use of cleaner fuels and vehicle technologies, while building support for fueling and charging infrastructure across Ohio to accelerate these efforts. 

Lordstown Motors Corp. is working with Clean Fuels Ohio’s Executive Director Sam Spofforth, Special Project Manager Tyler Fehrman and other Clean Fuels Ohio staff to achieve the goal of implementing and promoting the use of electric trucks for fleets in Ohio and across the United States.

Earlier this year, Lordstown nnounced Akron, Ohio-based utility company First Energy had signed a letter of intent to purchase 250 Endurance electric pickup trucks.
