According to KFSM, Walmart announced that it would be rolling out electric vehicle charging stations across Arkansas to support the development of a coast-to-coast charging network.

The charging stations are for public use 24 hours a day and feature 150 kilowatt and 350 kW DC fast chargers. KFSM reports that the collaboration is with Electrify America and is a way to make EV charging accessible to families while they shop.

Walmart hopes to become the largest retail hosts of EV charging stations across the U.S. It has a goal to be completely powered by 100 percent renewable energy and aims to power 50 percent of its operations with renewable energy by 2025, according to KFSM.

KFSM adds, currently, over 130 Walmart locations offer EV charging stations and more are soon to come across 46 states.

As of now five stations are up and running in various Walmart Supercenters across Arkansas, KFSM reports.
