Element Partners with Qmerit for Home-Based EV Charger Installations

Element Fleet Management Corp. has entered a home charging agreement with Qmerit, a North American network of EV charger installers, allowing Element clients to outsource home-based EV charger installations wherever their fleet drivers live.

The partnership will help clients “navigate considerations such as total cost of ownership trends, tax subsidies and charging infrastructure for clients’ drivers and electric fleet vehicles,” said Chris Gittens, EVP, Strategic Relationships at Element.

Qmerit’ Charging@Home solution offers “seamless, end-to-end installations and support” of EV chargers at fleet drivers’ individual or multifamily homes. The Qmerit platform initiates, schedules and tracks EV charger installations, minimizing disruptions for drivers through a nation-wide network of licensed, accredited, insured electricians.

"Together, [Element and Qmerit] are at the vanguard of a new movement for fleet electrification,” said Tracy K. Price, Qmerit chairman and CEO.

Based in Toronto, Element Fleet Management is a global automotive fleet manager, serving corporations, governments and nonprofit organizations across North America, Australia and New Zealand.

Qmerit, headquartered in Irvine, California, combines a nation-wide network of certified electrical contractors with its purpose-built digital managed services platform to deliver service related to electric vehicle charging stations, battery storage systems, solar system integration and microgrid solutions.
